Finding Your Seat:
How to Become a Member at St. Barnabas
One of the most beautiful truths of the Gospel is that God’s table is never full. There’s always room for one more chair, one more story, one more life to be changed by grace.
At St. Barnabas, membership is not just paperwork or a name on a roll. It’s about claiming your seat in a family of faith that prays, serves, and grows together. And while the heart of belonging is spiritual, the practical steps matter too. So let’s break it down.
For Newcomers and Visitors
If you’ve been worshiping with us and feel the Spirit nudging you to take the next step, becoming a member is your way of saying: This is my church home. It’s a commitment to share in the life of this community through worship, service, and fellowship.
Here’s how it works (and yes, it really is this simple):
Just say so. If you want to be a member, tell someone — Fr. Michael, a greeter, or a staff member. We’ll take it from there.
Fill out a Visitor Card. If you haven’t yet, this is a great first step. You can pick one up in the pews or fill it out online using this link. This helps us connect with you and support you, and we also just need your information!
Meet with Clergy or Staff. We’d love to hear your story, answer your questions, and help you find your place at the table.
For Longtime Members
You already have a seat at the table, but this season is a chance to make sure your chair is steady and ready for what’s next.
Update Your Realm Profile. Double-check your contact info, family details, and ministry interests. This is how we stay connected. If you need help logging in please reach out.
Reconnect with Ministry. Is God calling you to try something new — a small group, a ministry team, or a role you haven’t explored yet?
Meet with Clergy or Staff. We’re here for you too. Whether you want to deepen your involvement, explore new ways to serve, or just talk about your membership, we’d love to walk with you.
Renew Your Commitment. Ask yourself: how is God inviting me to be more present in worship, in prayer, in encouragement?
Why It Matters
Membership isn’t about exclusivity; it’s about belonging. It says: I am part of this family, and I want to grow alongside these people in Christ.
So — what about you? Are you ready to pull up a chair, share in the feast, and find your seat at the table?
